I am Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist.
Shortly after receiving in Poland Masters in Philosophy/Sociology, I came to U.K. whereby I studied and worked initially in social work and then art therapy. In 2003 I went onto train in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy.
Since 1982, I have been working in the caring profession in various countries; such as Poland, the USA and England.
I have worked with children and adolescents, particularly those who have been victims of: sexual, physical, emotional abuse and neglect. Further, I have experience of working with individuals:
• with learning difficulties,
• affected by HIV/Aids
• in a secure hospital environment
• in residential care.
I have extended experience in providing specialist individual, group and organisational consultation/supervision, teaching/training across multidisciplinary teams.
As a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist, I work individually and with all professional network towards helping the child develop healthier attachments and a new way of relating to life.
I profoundly believe that to help the person to find a balance in his/her life it is absolutely essential to take into consideration the person's internal world as well as all aspects of external life, where the person feels listened to, heard and treated with equality, respect and justice.
