Executive Director of Community Matters
Salary: £61,957.80 (pro-rata)
Contract: Permanent
Locations: Remote - 1 day per week (Friday)

We're looking for a creative and strategic person to take forward the ACP Community Matters Directorate. As the head of communications, you will lead the efforts to influence the promotion of our profession, shape mental health campaigns and communicate the vital role of child & adolescent psychotherapy to the public and key stakeholders.
This is a senior executive director role, reporting to the CEO and a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT). You'll lead the communications strategy which delivers communications (newsletter, magazine, social/wider media and website), events and support member engagement across the Association. You will chair the Community Matters Committee and lead the small, friendly comms team. The role will involve developing further our wider media activity and digital package.
We're seeking someone who brings:

Proven senior experience in communications strategy including digital and media.

Excellent communication skills and ability to engage others.

The ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages.

A collaborative approach with confidence managing an internal team as well as external relationships.
The post is open to an ACP post qualified member with the relevant skills and experience and/or a wider communications professional. The current potholder is stepping down after 3.5 years and we are looking for someone to build on the positive work achieved in Community Matters as part of the Organisational Review. This is an interesting time to join the executive management team (EMT) and to support making a lasting impact, through promoting the profession and leading the ACP through its next phase of growth.
