This document brings together two important strands of work:

• The findings from the 2025 member consultation on statutory regulation for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists
• A historical overview of ACP’s engagement with statutory and voluntary regulation over the past 15 years, alongside the current national policy context

The report has been developed to support transparency and shared understanding. It sets out what members told us, the benefits and risks associated with different regulatory options, and the strategic considerations ACP continues to hold as part of its ongoing advocacy and policy engagement.
